Abstract
[18]Annulene
1,4-oxide-7,10:13,16-disulphide has been synthesized. It has been found to be a
stable system; but its spectral characteristics indicate that it is
non-aromatic and that the three heterocyclic rings are linked by three
essentially olefinic vinylene groups.
