Abstract
The binding curves and
thermal denaturation of several DNA- aminoacridine and DNA-amino-benzacridine
complexes at two ionic strengths are reported. An increase in viscosity and a
decrease in sedimentation velocity were found for these DNA-dye systems. Free
energy calculations based on the intercalation model have been performed. The
values so obtained for ΔG are discussed and correlated with the data found
in the above experiments.
