The chlorenchyma of some members of the Salicornieae (Chenopodiaceae).

Abstract

Thirty-three taxa belonging to the tribe Salicornieae have been examined for δ13C ratios, and the anatomy of 19 of these taxa has also been examined. The results indicate that only the Halosarcia indica group has δ13C ratios and anatomy consistent with a C, photosynthetic pathway.
