Abstract
A general semiclassical formulation of the process where charged particles in a magnetized plasma simultaneously emit or absorb two gyromagnetic waves is presented. The kinetic equations. which describe the evolution of the wave number and of the particle distribution number due to these processes, are given. General expressions for the probability of double-cyclotron absorption are derived.
