Abstract
Acquisition times as short as 10 ms are achieved for the collection of fluorescent decays with a time-correlated single-photon counting detection scheme, arranged in the reverse-interactive configuration, and high-repetition-rate laser excitation. Faster acquisition times for the measurement of fluorescent decays are accomplished by employing the same laser excitation system and photomultiplier anode-current sampling with a digital oscilloscope. With this variant, an 8.9 ns exponential decay is collected in 8.058 μs.
