Abstract
The article presents experimental data and results of scientific and industrial experience on the preventive use of large doses of oxytocin to sows in the early postpartum period. It was found that the use of oxytocin injections at a dose of 75 IU for three days after farrowing helps to reduce the pathology of the uterus and breast, prevents a violation of lactogenesis, increases the secretion of colostrum (milk), which ensures high safety of piglets for weaning. The introduction of oxytocin does not affect the increase in the concentration of immunoglobulins in the colostrum of sows and, as a result, does not change its level in the blood serum of piglets.
