Abstract
In this paper a mathematical analysis of the frequency selective fading produced by multipath propagation is presented, as well as recent techniques to reduce the effects of this phenomenon as: the diversity of antennas, the Rake receiver, the adaptive equalization and OFDM (Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing).
