Abstract
This paper describes the overview of the 2010 Chilean and 2011 Tohoku Foreshock and Main Shock Tsunami profiles, which were acquired by GPS-mounted buoys at a spot of 100-400 m in water depth off the Pacific coast of Japan. In the case of the first crest on the 2011 Tohoku Main Shock Tsunami profile acquired off Kamaishi Port, the water level rose relatively slowly and quickly at the primary and subsequent parts, respectively, and consequently exceeded 6 m.
