Abstract
There are several promising radiotracers used for bothstaging and restaging of primary and recurrent braintumours based on various mechanisms of tracerlocalization in tumour cells. 68Ga-PSMA PET has extremelylow background uptake in normal brain tissue andconsequently high tumour-to-brain ratio making it apromising imaging radiotracer for gliomas. 68Ga-PSMAdemonstrates utility in evaluating high grade gliomaduring both initial workup or when suspecting recurrence.Herein the authors evaluate the role of this imagingmodality and the potential future it holds in themanagement of high grade gliomas.Keywords: 68Ga-PSMA; PET/CT; brain tumors; PET/CT;gliomas; Glioblastoma Multiforme
