Abstract

Malpractice means “harming a patient due to ignorance, inexperience or indifference bad practice of medicine” and can occur at all stages of healthcare provision. Medical practice errors; Depending on the medical process, negligence and application, it can be divided into different groups such as diagnosis, treatment, preventive treatment and other errors, or medication and surgical errors. In accordance with the professional ethical rules in legal regulations, health professionals become criminally and legally responsible within the framework of general definitions in the relevant laws. Medical errors by healthcare professionals can occur in different ways, be it intentional or negligent. Health professionals have medical responsibilities if they do not provide the necessary medical assistance in a timely manner. In this case, patients and their relatives have the right to demand compensation. Making an irresponsibility agreement and obtaining the consent of the patient are among the situations that remove the responsibility. Healthcare professionals should be knowledgeable and careful about medical errors. Patient safety culture should be evaluated and developed, cooperation should be made for patient safety, patient safety should be adopted as a corporate responsibility. Health professionals should pay attention to the fact that the service is not interrupted while providing health care, and take measures to eliminate or minimize medical errors that may occur.
