INSTRUMENTS OF RETAIL BANKING BUSINESS: USING INFORMATION CROSS-CHANNELS TO FIGHT AGAINST FRAUD AND FALSIFICATION

Abstract

Nowadays, information cross-channels are a unique tool for developing new products and services in the banking business. The effective cross-channel information system that provides prevention or a significant reduction in the number of incidents related to serious operational and reputational risks, as well as violations of the security regime, is now an essential element of protection. Standard cross-channels for detecting internal fraud and falsification in the bank's retail business are mainly implemented by means of a distant method. At the heart of remote cross-channels there is the use of automated and semi-automated control procedures significantly reducing labor costs for monitoring activities. With their help one can compare the various operations and build a logical chain leading to the detection of internal fraud and falsification. The article reveals new directions for using cross-channels in the context of combating fraud and falsification in banking. It has been proved that the improvement of the cross-channel based on the computer vision method in the future will allow banks to identify in real time both presence and identity of the employee and client with the purpose of deeper analysis of the conducted operations for detecting internal fraud and falsification. The active development of information cross-channels in retail banks is predetermined by increased competition and the need for additional monitoring of ongoing operations and transactions in order to reduce the risks and uncertainties of the external and internal environment. The combination of information and analytical procedures in a single cross-channel makes can improve predictive methods and use them to promoting a client-oriented strategy.
