Abstract
Cultural heritage plays a key role in forming a community's identity and is an invaluable source of historical, cultural and archaeological information. However, its preservation and documentation require precise tools and strategies. In recent years, remote sensing methods and geographic information systems (GIS) have become indispensable instruments in cultural heritage inventory, monitoring and protection. The article is devoted to the problem of documenting and visualising the complex monument of landscape art, "Stryiskyi Park" in Lviv. The methodology and technology of creating a park information and reference system in the ArcGIS software environment are investigated. The reference and information system for Stryi Park was developed using ArcGis software modules. Taking into account the functionality of the ArcGis desktop geographic information system, data was collected using the cartometric method, and two- and three-dimensional digital models of the park were created, showing tourist attractions of natural and historical significance. A library of three-dimensional symbols was used to model the objects. Taking into account the complexity of the park landscape, 2D and 3D digital elevation models were created in ArcMap and ArcScene software modules, which significantly increase the efficiency of the Stryi Park reference geographic information system. A tabular database of park objects has been organised, which contains both attributive, descriptive, information and graphic information about the park objects in the form of photographs and video files obtained as a result of own photography and three-dimensional modelling of monuments in the ReCap360 software.
