Abstract
In this work, a microstrip patch antenna is designed using a novel Ytterbium doped Cu-Mn Nano ferrite coated jute
substrate for S band (2-4 GHz) applications. The prepared material is characterised by structural and electromagnetic
properties to examine and analyse the effect of material factors on antenna substrate suitability. The antenna is
designed and simulated using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) software. The antenna parameters such as gain
are improved by employing super formula and meander line techniques. The fabricated antenna also shows better
performance with return loss, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) and gain values.
