Abstract
Abstract
The peritoneum has a close relationship with the epithelium of the fallopian tube and ovarian surface and can thus undergo similar metaplastic and neoplastic processes, including the full spectrum of gynecologic serous neoplasia. We report a case of high-grade serous carcinoma arising in retroperitoneal endosalpingiosis in a patient with a history of ovarian high-grade serous carcinoma, followed by a brief review of peritoneal serous metaplasia and neoplasia.
