Abstract

ABSTRACT The pressure injury literature is rapidly growing, challenging busy clinicians who are trying to stay current. In this article, the authors summarize six articles published in 2022 that provide important new data or change how we may think about pressure injuries. The articles cover a range of topics including epidemiology, prevention, prediction, and nurse staffing. For each article, the authors provide a description of the study results along with a comment on why the results are important. This information will help clinicians remain current with the field and highlight new findings to incorporate into their clinical practice. TARGET AUDIENCE This continuing education activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses with an interest in skin and wound care.
