Abstract:
Candida auris (C. auris) is a human pathogen that can colonize the skin and various body sites without signs or symptoms or cause serious invasive infections with high mortality. The number of cases involving drug-resistant C. auris infections have increased in the US in recent years. This article provides an overview of C. auris and important infection prevention and control measures.
