Abstract
(BJOG. 2022;129:1269–1277)
Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is associated with increased risk of maternal morbidity, mortality, and postpartum depression. In the United States, United Kingdom, and beyond, maternal outcomes vary by ethnicity. In the United Kingdom, Black parturients have a higher risk of intensive care unit admission. This study aimed to investigate the association between the risk of PPH and ethnicity, and how socioeconomic background interacts with this association.
