Abstract

Abstract This case report discusses a novel therapeutic strategy in managing a severe intracranial infection caused by multidrug-resistant Stenotrophomonas maltophilia utilizing intraventricular tigecycline. The favorable clinical outcome observed suggests a potential promising role of intraventricular tigecycline in treating drug-resistant S. maltophilia meningitis, underscoring the necessity for further investigation and validation.
