Abstract
This research is aims to improve student’s learning achievement by using constructivism approach. This research is classroom action research (PTK) which consist of two cycles, cycles I and cycles II. The subject ini this research were 13 class III students at UPTD SD Ngeri 51 Parepare, consisting of 7 male students and 6 female students. The result of the research in cycle 1 showed that mathematics learning achievements of students were not complete. Only 10 students or 77% achieved the standard of completion in mathematics, while in cycle II showed that there are increase in the learning achievements who obtained grades >75. In cycle I, the average value of students learning achievements was 71, while in cycle II there was an increase with an averag students learning achievements of 85. The research results show that the constructivism approach in mathematics learning at multiplication of whole numbers can improve the learning achievements of class III students at UPTD SD Ngeri 51 Parepare.
