Abstract
ABSTRACTWebometrics, the quantitative research and study of Web phenomena, is a field encompassing contributions from library and information science and other sciences. Its methodology and also some theoretical basis draws especially from bibliometrics. This review article presents new contributions in this field and alerts librarians and other information experts to the possibilities webometric approaches have for the evaluation purposes of scientific publishing and also different library services.
