Abstract
Abstract
Wet casting was used to make silver (Ag) nanoparticles in a water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) matrix, which led to the in-situ creation of silver polyvinyl alcohol nanocomposite films (Ag-PVA). The nanocomposite films were characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, in order to determine the impact of varying Ag-nanoparticle concentrations in the PVA matrix. By adjusting the concentration of Ag nanoparticles in the polymer matrix, the mechanical and dielectric characteristics of Ag-PVA nanocomposite films were investigated. The findings demonstrate that adding AgNPs changes the PVA polymer's optical characteristics. Therefore, the Ag-PVA nanocomposites films created may be used in optoelectronic devices.
