Abstract
In this work, the deep eutectic solvent (DES) was prepared by mixing three reactants of choline chloride, urea and ethylene glycol. Fluorescence property of DES with different mole ratio of choline chloride, urea and ethylene glycol were investigate. The effect of water molecule and temperature on the fluorescence intensity of DES was also studied. The prepared solvent was used as an efficient fluorescence probe for the determination of lanthanum ions. This method is based on the reduction of fluorescence emission intensity of eutectic solvent in the presence of lanthanum ions. Results clearly revealed that the fluorescence emission of eutectic solvent is decreased by increasing of lanthanum ions concentration with good linearship. The linear dynamic range of the method was obtained between 0.01 to 5 mg L-1 with detection limit of 8.8 mg L-1. The interference of foreign species was also studied. This method is feasible, rapid, and accurate way for the determination of trace analysis of lanthanum (III).
