Abstract

Abstract In multimedia wireless networks Wireless mesh networks (WMNs) have emerged as a key technology to meet the challenges. Mostly the WMN are multi-hop in nature and the routing protocols must be robust against both dynamically changing topology and malevolent attacks for achieving availability. In WMN, Security is one of the primary concerns and several secure routing protocols have been proposed to address the security vulnerabilities but still there exist problems. In order to overcome this, an Optimal Trusted Multipath Routing Protocol (OTMRP) using Fuzzy is proposed which improves the security in path selection by integrating both direct as well as indirect trust in WMNs. The Simulation results show that OTMRP outperforms well than other similar trust models by considering the various parameters such as Average throughput, Packet Delivery Ratio, Energy consumption, and Trust value computation.
