Abstract
Abstract
Undifferentiated sarcoma is a highly malignant tumor originating from mesenchymal tissues, typically occurring in the upper gastrointestinal tract. However, undifferentiated sarcoma of the colon is exceptionally rare. We present the case of a 26-year-old female patient who presented to our outpatient department with abdominal pain. Colonoscopy revealed an occupying lesion in the transverse colon, raising suspicion of malignancy. Computed tomography confirmed a transverse colon lesion, suggestive of possible transverse colon cancer. The patient underwent an enlarged laparoscopic right hemicolectomy, and subsequent pathology and immunohistochemistry confirmed the diagnosis of undifferentiated sarcoma of the transverse colon. This report highlights a rare case of primary undifferentiated sarcoma of the transverse colon.
