Model test study of oil and gas pipeline crossing landslide

Abstract

Abstract As an ultra-long linear project, oil and gas pipelines are vulnerable to landslide disasters, which poses a serious threat to the normal operation of pipelines and the safety of national property. Taking shallow soil and lateral landslide, which are the most common in pipeline landslide accidents, as the main research objects, large-scale model tests were carried out. Different slopes and different landslide displacement conditions were controlled and changed by model box loading device, and the stress response rule and deformation failure characteristics of pipeline under the action of lateral landslide were studied. The research results show that the pipeline buckling occurs locally in the midspan, and the whole pipeline is in the form of beam symmetric bending failure. When the pipeline is in the elastic and elastic-plastic stage, the test value of the pipeline axial strain is basically consistent with the results of numerical simulation (PSI model and solid element model), and the test value of the pipeline buckling failure is significantly greater than the numerical simulation results. The research results have important guiding significance for the laying and prevention of oil and gas pipelines in mountainous areas.
