Abstract
The aquatic environment has a significant impact on human physical and mental health. In order to accurately and quantitatively describe the direct effects of different water scales on the human brain, this study used virtual reality technology to conduct an immersive experience at different water scales and assessed the comprehensive state of the brain with the collected metrics of electroencephalogram (EEG) and heart rate variability (HRV) of the subjects. The study established a coupling relationship between the relative area of water with flow rate and the comprehensive brain state through Gaussian Process Regression (GPR) model. The classification model was also implemented to predict the different responses to water scales of populations.
