Abstract
Abstract
This study addresses the urgent need for effective treatments for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), a disease characterized by chronic and irreversible lung fibrosis with high mortality. Current treatment options are limited, emphasizing the importance of exploring innovative approaches. Our research focuses on drug repositioning and utilizes Mendelian randomization, a novel method leveraging genetic variation, to assess the potential impact of various therapeutic drugs on IPF. The aim is to advance the understanding of drug effects, potentially paving the way for the development of new and impactful treatments to slow disease progression and improve the quality of life for IPF patients.
