Abstract

A miniaturized dual sided modified square loop structure is printed on the both sides of single layer substrate are proposed, with one band stop and two controllable passbands is obtained. Each FSS element consists of modified square loop on the top metal layer and its corresponding complementary pattern is printed on the bottom of the FR4 substrate with thickness of 0.8mm and it covers the centre frequency of 10 GHz. The proposed design provides two transmission poles separated by a transmission zero. The simulated and measured results are good to each other. Furthermore, the cases of various angle of incidence for both TE and TM mode are also measured and examined.
