Abstract

Middle meningeal artery (MMA) pseudoaneurysms are mostly caused by traumatic brain injury and can lead to severe morbidity because of epidural or subdural hematoma. We present a rare case of delayed rupture of a right MMA pseudoaneurysm that caused a temporal intraparenchymal hemorrhage (IPH). Delayed rupture of an MMA pseudoaneurysm is rare but has devastating consequences. Digital subtraction angiography in patients with traumatic brain injury with temporal rim fracture and temporal IPH may help diagnose this lesion easily and treat the disease earlier.
