Abstract
Abstract
The use of schiff base metal complexes has attracted considerable interest because of their wide-ranging applications in the fields of coordination chemistry and biological sciences. A straightforward simple condensation methodology with acid catalyst approaches was used to synthesize a (E)-4-((anthracen-9-ylmethylene)amino)-N-(pyridin-2-yl) benzenesulfonamide schiff base ligand. The followed by the synthesis of the metal–ligand complexes encompassed the coordination of the Schiff base ligand to the transition metal ion in an ethanolic medium. Subsequent structural characterization and their properties were predicted using spectroscopic and analytical techniques. Furthermore, we evaluated the biological properties exhibited by these complexes, with a specific emphasis on their potential applications as antimicrobial, anticancer, antioxidant, and enzyme inhibition agents. The findings derived from this investigation yield significant perspectives regarding the formulation and advancement of innovative metal– organic complexes that exhibit augmented therapeutic attributes.
