Abstract
This paper critically synthesizes the present literature on sustainable institute over the past 9 years to explore the various constructs associated with it using the Antecedents, Decisions and Outcomes (ADO) model. It also determines both the research gaps and the future research directions. A systematic literature review process (SLR) as proposed by (Tranfield, Denyer, and Smart 2003) is followed. Applying the PRISMA framework, 84 full-text articles relevant to the sustainable institute (in business management) were extracted. This systematic review synthesizes the antecedents, decision processes and consequences of sustainable institute in the business management domain. This review illustrates the information of the most prominent authors, journals and countries. The most important contribution of this study is that it proposes a framework that explain the theoretical underpinning of sustainable institute. It also provides insights into how faculty level, student level, institute level and other factors influence sustainable institute. The study also identifies the major factors that lead to a sustainable institute and helps for the sustainable development of the institute in a holistic manner.
