The objective of this work is the empirical investigation of the relationship between tourism and economic growth in Tunisia over the period from 1975 to 2018. Using control variables chosen during a reading of the theoretical and empirical review of the determinants of economic growth in the context of responding to the problem posed for the case of Tunisia. In the first step, it is appropriate to present the methodology of analysis that we will adapt in our study, where the identification of the theoretical and empirical bases combined with the specification of our empirical model occupies a place of honor. The second step consists in gathering the empirical results with the help of the ARDL modelling, the interpretations of this study in Short term (ST) as well as in Long term (LT) accompanied with some lessons for a possible development strategy of the tourist sector.
