An experimental dynamic NMR study of 2-(aryl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazoles in solution: the evaluation of NH behavior in terms of proton transfer and tautomerism and its application on detecting of special protons and carbons of trisubstituted imidazoles

Abstract

Abstract The proof of the tautomerism phenomenon and the exchange of protons bounded to nitrogen and oxygen is possible by evaluating the rate of proton exchange and factors that effect on it. For 2-(aryl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazoles, scrutiny of proton transfers and tautomerism is possible by evaluation of their proton and carbon spectra. This paper reports results of the studies on 1H and 13C NMR spectra of 2-(aryl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazoles in solution. We have investigated the dynamic NMR of these compounds based on concentration and introduce a way instead of TOCSY technique for detecting the overlapped signals of protons and carbons of aryl substituent which located in position 2 of imidazole ring.
