Abstract

Abstract In our previous research, employing the piezoelectricity and the elastic energy relationships, we applied the MCNPX simulation code to find the amount of created atomic/ nuclear particles, the dominant interactions; and the energy of the radiated particles for various sizes of piezoelectric blocks under mechanical stress. In addition, we have found some relationships for the energy of created atomic/ nuclear particles in piezoelectric rocks under various mechanical stress. In this study, we have introduced some methods to predict the earthquakes (EQs) in aseismic regions with the help of those formulas, if the energy of the radiated particles from subsurface piezoelectric rocks are measured by the particle detectors. The introduced methods are absolutely approximate, since we supposed constant parameters for the piezoelectric rock and besides, the EQ was assumed to be happened in a piezoelectric block.
