Abstract
As the development of technology keeps on growing rapidly, the use of smart technology in our daily life is getting demand. The Android-based Home Security Application was developed to ease users to know the current situation regarding their house at any time they want especially when they are away from home. This project uses a motion detection sensor to detect a moving entity in the area where the system is deployed. The motion detection sensor and alarm system that is implemented in the application system will enable users to know the real situation that may happen at that time. As a result of the project, the user can use the application to view the current situation of their house and an alert message will be notified via the application system if a motion is detected especially when they are away. It is to ensure the users know the current situation in their house. In terms of security, the combination of the motion sensor and alarm system in this project may be more reliable and secure with the neat and straightforward user interface that may ease users to navigate around the application system.
