Abstract
Abstract
This study investigates the impact of FDI regulatory restriction policies in the transportation industry on output and labor productivity growth. Using the system generalized method of moments (GMM) estimation of the dynamic panel data model, this paper finds that FDI restriction policies in the transportation industry have significant negative effects on the levels of output and labor productivity, and their respective growth rates. These findings suggest that reforms toward less restrictive FDI policies could lead to increased growth in both output and labor productivity.
