Abstract

Abstract The prevention of infection is the most important part of wound healing, in this article mentions the fabrication process of calendula extract encapsulated gum acacia hydrogel (GA@Cal) are more facile and cost-effective than okra mucilage and carbopol hydrogel wound dressing materials. We observed that gum acacia (GA) hydrogel is a porous structure so its water absorbance capacity is higher than other agents. In vitro study, we used MTT assay, Scratch assay and western blot analysis, the result suggested that, GA@Cal enhanced the cell proliferation, PI3K pathway. In an in-vivo study, GA@Cal showed excellent results compared to the untreated and GA groups.
