Abstract
Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV), a human neurotropic herpesvirus, can trigger vasculopathy, manifesting as stroke, aneurysm, and arterial dissection. Extracranial carotid artery dissection attributable to VZV is exceptionally rare. This case report describes an immunocompetent patient with unilateral carotid artery dissection and contralateral arterial irregularity, both resulting from VZV reactivation.
