Abstract

Abstract Objective: To investigate the effects of different application cycles of beta-cypermethrin nano-emulsion and beta-cypermethrin common emulsion on the activities of resistance-related enzymes in Blattella Germany. Methods: Blattella Germany was treated with micro-drop method, and the enzyme activity of Blattella germanica was measured at different time after 18 days. The enzyme activities of Blattella Germany were determined by spectrophotometry, and the relationship between enzyme activities and application cycle of beta-cypermethrin nano-emulsion and beta-cypermethrin common emulsion was studied by contour analysis. Results: The profiles of acetylcholinesterase (AchE), glutathione S-transferase (GST) and P450-O demethylase activities of Blattella Germany exposed to beta-cypermethrin nanoemulsion and beta-cypermethrin conventional emulsion were not parallel (F values were 174.025,1 017.969 and 1 364.271, respectively, P<0.001). Conclusion: The effects of beta-cypermethrin nano-emulsion and beta-cypermethrin common emulsion on the activities of AchE, GST and P450-O demethylase in Blattella Germany were different, and the profiles were neither parallel nor overlapped.
