Abstract

Abstract

The need of introducing advanced security methods to the e-voting system becomes necessary and urgent around the world since there are two existing and inevitable threats, which are bribery and coercion, in most proposed e-voting systems. So far, if a voter’s voting processes is monitored by a briber or coercer with the secure scheme that has been proposed can successfully stop bribery and coercion. However, the methods proposed in the past fail to enable voters to vote without violating their volition even after their voting secrets are leaked. In order to reach the goal, this study proposed a level-five secure e-voting system, which is the highest level by bringing in an extra setup phase. In short, we seek to protect the system even if the major secret is revealed, voters still can cast their votes according to their volition. This study applies cryptographic techniques to make sure that the voting systems are secure enough to enhance the chance of being adopted widely.
