Abstract

Abstract This study was carried out with the aim of reusing waste water from the Me factory by proposing an innovative and sustainable solution, with a view to reducing the environmental impact of discharges and maximizing the reuse of this precious water resource. This involves proposing a recirculation system which will make it possible to use all of the water discharged while maintaining water quality at levels consistent with environmental standards. To do this, physicochemical and bacteriological analyzes were carried out on the waste water in order to assess their quality. Then, the Drawio software was used to propose a waste water recirculation system. Analyzes revealed that discharge water has the potential to negatively influence the environment due to parameters slightly exceeding established standards, such as turbidity, TSS, total coliforms and lead, generally in the month of May. In addition, the quantity of water discharged represents approximately 15% of the total volume pumped daily. The results of this study therefore highlight the possibilities and advantages of a wastewater recirculation system at the Me plant. The implementation of the proposed recirculation system will make it possible to minimize this impact on the environment and optimize the use of water resources, promoting the saving of these resources at the Me factory.
