Abstract

Abstract PSS power stabilizers are one of the most common ways to improve the stability of electrical networks. In addition, FACTS control devices, thanks to their flexibility and their fast response times, can be used in addition to power stabilizers. In this paper, we investigated the stability of the power grid of the Republic of Congo using Lyapunov's first method based on the eigenvalue analysis of the power grid state matrix. We have shown in this article the contribution of PSS-STATCOM controllers in improving the stability of the RC electrical network. Finally the factor of participation, highlighted the modes of critical oscillations associated with the generators.
