Abstract
Abstract
Background
Aerobic glycolysis is a hall marker of cancers and involves tumor initiation, development, therapeutic response, and prognosis. Therefore, we explored the role, molecular mechanisms, and prognostic values of aerobic glycolysis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Methods
The mRNA expression profile and corresponding clinical information were obtained from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC), and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases. And the aerobic glycolysis-related genes (ARGs) were obtained from the Molecular Signatures Database (MSigDB). The differentially expressed ARGs were identified and then constructed the aerobic glycolysis-related signature for prognosis prediction. The risk score and model were established, and the correlation between risk score and transcriptomic features, immune characteristics, and responses to therapeutic was investigated.
