Abstract
The research was conducted to determine the effect of listening to white noise and heart sounds during the sternum dressing process on the pain felt by newborns who had congenital heart surgery. The research sample consisted of 48 newborns who underwent cardiac surgery in a training and research hospital in Istanbul and met the sample selection criteria. Newborn Pain Scale (NIPS) was used to assess pain.
