Abstract

The relevance of the chosen topic lies in the need to analyze social networks and information and entertainment portals and forums as a tool for analyzing activities in the nuclear industry, as well as comparing materials on these resources with professional media. The purpose of the article is to analyze the activities of users of social networks and information and entertainment portals and forums, and to identify positive aspects for their use in research in the nuclear industry. The leading method underlying the solution of the problem is the study of the activities of users of social networks and information and entertainment portals and forums in the field of nuclear energy. The key positive aspects of such sources of information and their advantages relative to specialized news portals on the topic of nuclear energy are revealed. The results of the research can be applied by students and specialists in the field of the study of scientific journalism in general and in journalism specializing in.
