Abstract
Patients of the older age group have a high risk of suicide, which is an urgent problem both for society as a whole and for healthcare. The article is devoted to certain aspects of the organization of psychiatric care for persons over sixty years of age from the point of multidisciplinary and psychiatric hospitals, as well as outpatient specialized care. The volume of psychiatric care provided at each stage is described, possible loci of prevention and directions of preventive work are identified.
