Abstract
Placental insufficiency is one of the most frequent abnormalities during pregnancy. Teaching medical students on this topic is focused on provoking factors, epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. The paper suggests teaching students a novel method of treatment based on respiratory exercises and autogenic training. The use of breathing exercises in addition to drug treatment is one of the effective ways of auto-training, which increases the resistance of the fetus to chronic intrauterine hypoxia and future birth stress.
