Abstract
1. Eight cases of intraneural ganglion of the lateral popliteal nerve seen at operation within a period of six years are described. 2. In seven of these a pedicle was found arising from the superior tibio-fibular joint–it was probably present in the remaining case. 3. The essential step at operation is to find and extirpate the pedicle. 4. The implications of these findings are discussed.
