Abstract
Statement of the problem. To identify the effect of modification on the operational properties of wood and materials based on it. Results. The results of experimental studies of operational properties and durability modified by organic materials of wood, plywood, laminate, chipboard and fiberboard are presented. The results of the study on durability are based on the provisions of the thermal fluctuation theory of strength. Conclusions. The complex of the conducted studies sufficiently demonstrates the effect of modification on the operational properties of wood and materials based on it. In the course of research, it was revealed that the modification allowed to increase the hydrophysical properties of materials, their strength and biostability. But at the same time, there is a change in the mechanisms of their destruction, which ambiguously affects the durability of modified materials.
