Abstract
Statement of the problem. Consideration should be given to testing piles by a method using wave theory of impact and correlation of wave characteristics with static test results. Dynamic test methods are cheaper and faster, but less accurate than static ones. In this case, a situation is considered in which a number of static tests have already been carried out on site, and further control of the load-bearing capacity of the piles is planned to be carried out using wave methods. It is proposed to correlate the soil damping coefficient based on the data of static tests.Results. Based on the results of the study, a method and an algorithm for the correlation of data from wave tests of piles with static tests are proposed through the selection of the soil damping coefficient, which, in a standard calculation, is a tabular empirical coefficient. Conclusions. The proposed method for the correlation of the damping coefficient makes it possible to obtain more accurate data on the load-bearing capacity of piles in comparison with the use of tabular values. This approach is applicable only when there is a classical force distribution curve during wave tests.
